20 Most Divisive Movie Scenes Ever

5. Cliff Kicks Bruce Lee's Ass - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sees the filmmaker once again playing with history in some provocative ways, yet perhaps the most controversial scene in the film involved its depiction of legendary martial artist Bruce Lee (Mike Moh).

After listening to Lee arrogantly prattle on during filming, stuntman Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) engages him in a fight, and though Lee gets the early upper hand, Booth responds by throwing him into a car and firmly besting him during their brief tussle.

The scene outraged not only Lee's family and associates but also many of his fans, who found it borderline-sacrilege to show Lee being defeated so easily by a stuntman.

The flip-side, however, is that it's a great scene of character-building for Booth, and more to the point, there's absolutely no guarantee that what we're seeing is an objective, reliable depiction of what happened - if the two even actually fought at all.
