6. Blade

The Film

It might well still be better suited to a TV show, but it does feel like Blade might well be back soon. And there's definitely room for the vampire slayer as well after the original trilogy landed so well (albeit with a slightly less perfect landing at the end).

A film could see the MCU terrorised by vampires - it's not like supernatural creatures are even that different from aliens, robo-Gods or sorcerors, after all - and bring Blade back into the fray to deal with them. Obviously he'll never be an Avenger, but that doesn't always need to be the end goal for all new characters.

Any Evidence?

Well, if you follow Wesley Snipes on Twitter, you'll know that talking about potential future Blade movies in the MCU is one of his favourite subjects. You know, between talking about Brand Snipes.

He seems to have suggested not so long ago that he had been talking to Marvel as well, despite rumours that any Blade movie would be a legacy movie with a new daywalker.

Any Groundwork?

Not yet, but the introduction of Doctor Strange means alternate universes could be explored if Marvel want to introduce vampires as an alternate dimension species.
