Joss Whedon's full debut in the DCEU, following Barbara Gordon's career as the vigilante Batgirl - a choice Whedon says is very key to the film's narrative.

Positives?

Whedon joining the DCEU was great news (albeit with some concerns on the back of his personal life controversies), and he's already proven with the MCU that he knows how to make great superhero movies.

And if he can channel anything of what made Buffy so brilliant to Batgirl, it's going to be one of the low-key most exciting additions to the franchise.

Concerns?

That Whedon doesn't do so well with studio interference, and that seems to be a pretty big part of the DC movie-making experience at the minute.
