"Always be closing". In uttering that line, Alec Baldwin, as real estate salesman Blake, defined his entire career. Every role he's had since has seemed to stem from this one scene. Jack Donaghy, his character on the sitcom 30 Rock, appears to be this scene spread out over 7 seasons. Glengarry Glen Ross was written by David Mamet, one of America's finest playwrights, and the power of this monologue is testament to his skill. Unfortunately, the irony of this scene is apparently lost on some people who view it as genuinely motivational.
