8. More Focused Gameplay Experience Faithful To Hitman Tradition
Ask most Hitman fans what they loved about the older games in the series, and it's likely that they will answer with one word, 'freedom'. Absolution, at times, didn't offer a lot of that, and it made for a stilted and often frustrating experience. There were good points, but there were also too many restrictions that stopped the gameplay from having any real focus. Players don't want convolution during the missions when playing Hitman games, they want clear goals and multiple paths towards them. The new title looks to have sorted out this particular problem. At least in the released Beta, the missions available are focused and lacking the unnecessary fluff that Absolution unfortunately presented in abundance. Objectives are very clear, and pretty much seem geared towards assassinations. That's the way things should have been all along, it should be up to the actual person playing to figure out the best route to a target. That's the fun of Hitman, and it looks like this is something the developers have realised since the last game in 2012.
