10 Fanboy Reasons To Be Excited About Hitman

7. Levels Have More Of A Sandbox Feel Again

IO have been making a lot of noise about the fact that Hitman will feature huge levels that are instantly there for gamers to explore. In the developer's own words, some of the levels in the new game are 6 times larger than the biggest in Absolution. For example, the huge town of Hope in that game offered a lot of possibilities, but levels in the 2016 release are bursting with even more. On that occasion, Hope was split into multiple levels and areas. It looks like something similar might happen, but now people will have the opportunity to venture off the beaten path a little more. As aforementioned, Absolution was mainly about pushing forward. There wasn't a lot of time to sit and ponder, so it's heartening to know that aspect is coming back to the franchise. Even in the Beta, the airplane hangar mission that acts as the 'Final Test' feels like it holds a lot of content. There are so many different routes to take, and that's something these games should be encouraging. In earlier games like Hitman Silent Assassin, there was a slower pace to each mission. That appears to be making a comeback, and not before time.
