11. "J-E-N-O-V-A" - Final Fantasy VII's Jenova Battle Theme
The 7th installment of our series' place as the best overall game is a widely populated opinion, held by many; ironic, then that its regular battle themes suffer in the torrid depths of some of the worst of the series. Taking up the slack is "J-E-N-O-V-A", played over three of the game's battles. Tingling with whispers of horror and unseen malice, this classic track builds up into a swooning melody of distorted beauty comparable only to Jenova herself. A true example of a track that made the battle, rather than a battle that made the track.
