4. Gale and the Chamber of Strategy - Baldur's Gate 3

The Act 3 quest to awaken Baldur's Gate's guardian Ansur challenges you to take on three heroic trials. One of these tests is the Trial of Strategy, where you're put in front of a giant board of Dungeons and Dragons' version of chess called Lanceboard and are forced to win the presented match in two moves.

Obviously, if you're not a chess player, even this can prove quite challenging.

However, if you're struggling to complete the task, there's actually a small but clever easter egg that can solve it for you.

When you observe a Lanceboard match in the Last Light Inn in Act 2, Gale, your party's resident wizard, will remark on what he would do to win the match.

At the time, it may seem like simple banter, but if you bring Gale with you to the Trial of Strategy, he will actually chime in again and give you the exact answer to the puzzle.

You don't have to know anything about chess. You just need to be clever enough to think of bringing your chess expert with you and let his hidden interaction do the thinking for you.
