PlayStation Classic: 10 Best Games NOT Included
5. Crash Team Racing
While Mario Kart is often held up as the definitive kart racer, many players would place Crash’s first attempt at the pinnacle of the genre. Follow up Nitro Kart was pretty average, but the rumours of a 2019 Crash game have many fans hoping this will get the N. Sane Trilogy treatment too.
With a roster of only 8 characters, Crash Team Racing still offered huge variety. Sixteen tracks is nothing to sniff at, especially when they included boss battle races in the story mode too. As well as that, players were able to play through Time Trial mode, battle arenas and an inventive challenge where they must find the letters CTR scattered around the map.
Without a doubt though the standout feature of this title was the awesome powerslide mechanic. In order to get a speed boost, players could hop into the air and land in a slide, holding for just the right amount of time to boost out of the drift. This could be done up to three times in a row and by the time you got to Nitros Oxide, you needed it.
