WWE 2K23: 15 Best WCW CAWs You Need To Download

How to turn the awesome WWE 2K23 into your very own WCW-themed playground!

By Jamie Kennedy /

WCW was once dubbed "Where The Big Boys Play", but that gimmicky slogan has never been more accurate than it is in WWE 2K23. This year's Community Creations hub has some of the best CAWs from World Championship Wrestling yesteryear, and you need them on your download lists.

Seriously, prepare to be blown away by the quality on offer here.

2K23 is actually a decent buy for any WCW hardcores still lingering out there in pro wrestling land. The game comes with retro characters like Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, and there's even room for other nWo members like Syxx.

If that isn't enough, then 2K also furnished fans with models for The Steiner Brothers, Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero (circa 1997). They even included that swanky Halloween Havoc '97 arena so you can relive a Cruiserweight classic.

That's all very nice, but it won't be enough to satisfy those who want Raw and SmackDown to become Nitro and Thunder. There's a nice mix of classic WCW/NWA to download here, but don't worry - there are some awesome CAWs from latter-day WCW too.

Here's where you can get them.

Weren't expecting this guy to be first, were you?

No, Vampiro isn't the first wrestler fans think of when they hear "WCW", but he does have a place in company history. Besides, Forsaken's CAW creation is dripping with quality from head to toe, and that's why Vamp deserves a spot on your roster.

There's even a version of his attire without the famous face paints if you fancy that instead. The variety and choice on offer in this package makes it worthwhile. Vampiro is perfect if you're seeking a brand new spooky character to play around as in Universe Mode.
