In Jordan Peele's all-timer horror masterpiece, Chris Washington (Daniel Kaluuya) managed to survive and escape a sickening conspiracy run by his girlfriend's family - they were kidnapping African-Americans and transplanting the brains of rich white Americans into their bodies in order to cannibalize their talents and lifespans. Well, it's a huge relief that Chris escaped and that no-one else is going to suffer this hellish fate, but that doesn't change the fact that many other kidnapped victims prior to Chris didn't get away.

Chris meets three such people during the story - one of whom kills himself as soon as he regains control of his body. That man was the lucky one. The other kidnapped victims will have still been living a fate worse than death - being trapped in their own bodies while someone else controls them.

Additionally, while it's great to imagine that Chris would've been able to expose the crimes and save the others, that's wishful thinking in the end. Pretty much all of the evidence of the conspiracy would've been destroyed in the house fire Chris starts during his escape, and the network of the family's clients would no doubt close ranks and protect each other from investigation.
