4. From Dusk 'Till Dawn

From Dusk 'Till Dawn kicks off with fugitive bank robbers Seth and Richie Gecko murdering a store clerk and a cop in cold blood. Moments later, Richie brutalises a hostage before killing her. At this point, the Gecko brothers come across like the scum of the Earth.

And yet, these two are saints compared to what they're up against later. 

After taking Jacob Fuller and his family hostage, the Geckos flee to Mexico and stop at a strip club to celebrate. While enjoying a lap dance, they discover the establishment is run by vampires.

Once those vamps make short work of Richie, Seth realises the odds are stacked against him. So, recognising that Jacob is a pastor, Seth cooperates with him, knowing he can use crosses and holy relics to protect the group. 

By the end, only Seth and Jacob's daughter Kate survive the whole ordeal. Guilty over what happened, Seth gives Kate a wad of cash and apologises for his behaviour, though when she asks to join Seth in his next crime spree, he refuses, insisting she deserves better.

Sure, Seth collaborated with the Fullers to save his own skin, but this interaction at the end shows some genuine character growth.
