6. Eat Better, Do Less

One of the best ways to ensure that you don't have to spend all your time exercising is to make sure your diet is on point.

If you're putting less fat and sugar into your body, you'll have to exert less energy in order to stop it going straight to your thighs.

One of the oldest fitness mantras is that a healthy, slammin' hot body is made with 20% exercise and 80% good diet - and it doesn't matter how long you spend in the gym, you can't outrun a bad diet.

You don't have to eat less either, just eat better. As a general rule of thumb, eating something that has to come with a long list of ingredients is probably a bad idea, and there are plenty of killer healthy recipes out there that are also super easy to make.

Fat, sugar and simple carbs have a funny effect on the brain. Repeated intake of unhealthy food actually disrupts the effectiveness of your hunger hormones leptin and ghrelin, meaning that the more you eat them, the more you crave them - so, conversely,  the less you eat them, the less you crave them.

The real take away (mmm, takeaway) from this is that if you can get your diet on point, you won't have to lift a finger to see the pounds drop off.
