10 Biggest Premier League Surprise Packages So Far

7. Andreas Weimann, Aston Villa (Games Played 23, Goals 6, Assists 2)

Let's get one thing straight, Villa have been god awful this year. Seriously. Yet Paul Lambert will most probably have a job next year because he is not actually doing that bad a job with the players he has to pick from. Players like Weimann and Benteke (more on him later) have just about done enough to keep Villa above the drop zone this year and Weimann certainly deserves his place on this list. 6 goals in a team that has only scored 31 all season is a decent enough return and you can see why suitors are starting to queue up for his signature. If Villa were to sell him in the summer, the team who capture his signature would be getting a striker with pace and an affinity for the big occasions. The Austrian isn't scared to score against the bigger teams (Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal) and his work rate is what sees him pop him with so many contributions through-out the season. If (and I really mean if) Villa manage to stay up this season they need to tie Weimann to a post with metal chains and just hope he doesn't leave.
