10 Biggest Premier League Surprise Packages So Far

6. Rafael Da Silva, Manchester United (Games Played 23, Goals 3, Assists 3)

The Brazilian right back seems to have excelled in his first full season away from his twin brother. Whilst Fabio has been languishing at the bottom of the table for quite some time, Rafael has hit the from of his career, 15 points clear at the other end of the table. His attacking prowess has been evident this year but it is his improved defensive capabilities that have impressed. Managers and Pundits alike have all recognised the difference Rafael brings to this United team and opposing managers also seem to struggle to keep him under wraps for entire games. He is still rather susceptible to some lapses in judgement mind you. His first half performance against Reading this year saw him hauled off ay half time and he had a torrid time against Real Madrid in the champions league (although he was facing an in form Cristiano Ronaldo so we'll let him off a little there). Manchester United fans will agree with me, it is refreshing that Manchester United finally have a potentially world class right back.
