Gylfi Sigurdsson is a fine attacking-midfielder and one who could capitalise on the defensive frailties that Newcastle currently have. The Icelandic international simply glides across the pitch and drifts into pockets of space that Jack Colback and Vurnon Anita will have to prevent him from filling. A set-piece specialist, the 25-year-old can influence most games and grabbed seven goals and 10 assists in the Premier League last season. Both Sigurdsson and Jonjo Shelvey will dominate the possession in the midfield areas and the Magpies will have to remain disciplined and patient in order to frustrate them into losing the ball.
