Arsenal Transfers: 10 Strikers Arsene Wenger Must Target This Summer

5. Loic Remy

With Loic Remy facing an uncertain future, could Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger continue his love affair with French players and sign the striker this summer? It remains unclear where Remy will be playing his club football after this summer's World Cup, with his loan agreement at Newcastle over and parent club QPR unable to guarantee they will be a Premier League side again next season. Unsurprisingly, Liverpool and Arsenal have been monitoring developments with the Daily Mail claiming the two clubs have already held talks with the 27-year-old. Remy scored 14 goals in 24 starts for the Magpies last season and his stock is set to rise further still in the event of a successful World Cup with France. Arsenal have a long-standing interest in Remy and would be wise to tie up a deal before the tournament begins in June next month in order to avoid the players' market value inflating. A strike partnership with French colleague Oliver Giroud would be an enticing prospect for Gunners fans, while other compatriots such as Bacary Sagna and Laurent Koscielny would be glad to see him at the Emirates.
