West Broms Chris Brunt is a versatile player capable of being utilized as a left winger or attacking midfielder. Also, at 29 years of age would add some much needed experience into Lamberts team. However, the baggies will not be keen to sell their star to a Premier League rival. Brunts form this season should be encouraging enough for Villa to consider making a bid in order to bolster their midfield; this is especially in terms of his creativity as he has provided five assists already this season. The player has also provided 1.9 shots 1.6 key passes per match, so certainly has some very good qualities. Brunt played for Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday before signing for West Brom in 2007; he has also made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland. There is certainly enough here to suggest that he would strengthen the team in the short term but his age means that he is probably not suitable as long term option.
