The player has only started six games in the league this season, but has played a further four games in the Champions League. Due to the lack of game time he has had this season its a little bit hard to judge him, but Lambert would be signing a 25-year-old international player. It should be noted that Defour often operates as a defensive midfielder or regular midfielder. Therefore, it would be interesting to know if he has been targeted based on his attacking or defensive qualities.
