Man Utd Transfers: 5 Reasons Wayne Rooney Should Quit Old Trafford This Month

By James Kent /

1. To Put Him In The Best Possible Shape To Entertain Us In Brazil

So many times have England gone into a European Championship or World Cup relying on Wayne Rooney. I would love to say that I don€™t see that happening again this year, and that some of our younger players will step up instead. However, with pundits keen to stress that they don€™t want to pressure them, I don€™t see that being the case. Let€™s be clear that England€™s chances in Brazil will rest squarely on the shoulders of Rooney delivering. As right or wrong as that might be, we need to make sure that our one world-class player is in the best possible shape to deliver. I know that he has been in good form so far this season, and delivering as Man Utd€™s best player. However, as this game we love being as much mental as it is physical, I€™m not sure that merely playing well will be enough. Of course, winning is a great habit to get into, and I would personally want Rooney to be heading to the World Cup after he has won his latest Premier League title. That perhaps in a nutshell is the best reason why the player should be forcing through a move away from Old Trafford this month. Also, a move abroad could also be on the cards that can equally put Rooney in a better mood ahead of Brazil.
