Theres now officially no getting away from it, Papiss Cisse, Newcastles goal-scoring machine in the second-half of last season is woefully out of form. The Senegalese striker has now not scored in 7 Premier League games and had a torrid day at the office on Sunday afternoon. Not only did he lack sharpness but his passing was poor (Newcastles lowest outfield player with just 50%), he was weak in the air (didnt win a single aerial duel) and, of course, he missed a penalty that wouldve made the game much more comfortable for the Magpies. It shows what a good, supportive dressing room Newcastle have that Cisse was given the chance to break his duck for this season but in future most fans would prefer the team to be 3 or 4 up before attempting a confidence boost. He could well be dropped for Newcastles next Premier League game, away at Reading.
