Moussa Sissoko was signed by Pardew in the January window for £2.2 million from Toulouse and was one of a series of French-born players to join the Magpies in what became known as a continental revolution at St James' Park. And the midfielder put in some incredibly impressive displays in his debut campaign in the Premier League, scoring three goals and providing the same number of assists in 12 appearances. The former Toulouse man has gone on to become an important cog in Newcastle's midfield and his form at club level has led to him earning call-ups for France in their recent World Cup qualifiers. It's difficult to think of a more impactful midfield signing in the Pardew era, which is why Sissoko makes our list.
