Ranking Chelsea’s Premier League Goalkeepers – Worst to Best

By Danny Gee /

12. Jurgen Macho

Chelsea Career: 2003-2004, 0 appearances. Macho spent three years at Sunderland, before making the journey south in 2003. Arriving as second-choice to Carlo Cudicini, the Austrian would always have expected a tough task breaking into the first-team. However, the Italian keeper was not the only obstacle Macho would face: after suffering a long-term injury, he failed to make a single competitive appearance for Chelsea in what turned out to be a short spell with the club. In the summer of 2004 Macho was released from the remaining year on his contract with Petr Cech forcing his first team opportunities further away.
