The striker put weight behind this speculation earlier this month by using micro-social network site Twitter to 'retweet' an article by Sky Sports claiming he may have to consider his future if he does not play more regularly. The highly unorthodox action only served to pour fuel on the fires of gossip linking him with a move away, and Tottenham could attempt to profit from the situation by offering him regular football in the capital.
