Spurs Transfers: 5 Young Left Backs To Compete With Danny Rose

4. Ben Davies (Swansea City)

20 year old Ben Davies has been one of the stars of the season so far - most recently scoring a great goal in the Swans' 1-2 home defeat against Arsenal. The Welsh left back has ousted his fellow countryman, Neil Taylor, from Swansea's starting eleven with some fantastic performances (although he did struggle against Spurs when he was put up against the in-form Andros Townsend). In the last couple of days, it has emerged that Spurs are reportedly weighing up a January bid for the full back. However, the Swans have no real need to sell and have proven more than capable of fending off the advances of bigger clubs towards their star players. If he was to leave, it surely wouldn't be for too hefty a sum and Spurs could bag themselves a bargain in the Welsh international who looks set to become a real Premier League force - much like Spurs themselves.
