Spurs vs Man City: 5 Key Things We Learned

By K.J. Stewart /

1. Manchester City Need A New Manager

A bold statement, perhaps, but a true one. Considering the frankly astronomical value of Manchester City's squad and the truly absurd amounts of money their players earn on a weekly basis, if you find that you are out of the Premier League title race before the last game of the season you need a new man to motivate the team. Simple as that. City have the players to dominate world football along with the likes of Barcelona, of that there is no doubt, but their only hope of a trophy this season now lies with the FA Cup - a competition which has sadly lost its worth in recent times and wouldn't constitute a good season for City even if they beat Wigan Athletic in the final in just over a couple of weeks. Someone needs to come in and get the best out of these players, because a team that contains the likes of Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero should be competing on all fronts every single season. Bonus thing we learned: Spurs are DEFINITELY not a one-man team. I avoided putting this in the main list because I've mentioned it in a list before - it's not a new insight from me, it's just something that's becoming all too obvious. Three goals, assisted by three different players and scored by three different players, in a performance where the Spurs defence was resolute and the Spurs midfield battled hard - to continue claiming that Gareth Bale is all that Spurs have in their locker is utterly outrageous.
