One of the Football Leagues founding clubs, Newport County were to play host to Accrington in one of the chosen games for the Football League 125th anniversary. A debut goal from Harry Worley was soon followed by another debut goal, this time from Chris Zebroski. Christian Jolley added a third before Zebroski sealed a brace.
