10 Most Underrated Deaths In Game Of Thrones
5. Jorah Mormont
Jorah Mormont was fiercely loyal to his queen. Though he was initially a spy for Varys, he was always protective over Daenerys. Even after being banished from Meereen, he made his way back into the city via the fighting pits.
Due to such devotion, Jorah was never afraid to risk his life for Daenerys. At the Battle of Winterfell, surrounded and overwhelmed by the Army of the Dead, Jorah continued to defend her despite his injuries.
As sad as Jorah’s death was, he died in a remarkably honourable fashion. He had spent the entirety of the show as a dedicated friend, adviser and protector of his queen. His death, therefore, was tragic yet fitting.
Possibly due to the fact that there were many deaths during the Battle of Winterfell, Jorah’s can be easily lost amongst the others. Yet what made his death particularly noteworthy was how it fitted perfectly with his central motivation and personal journey.
