11 Biggest Problems With The Chris Chibnall Doctor Who Era

2. The Thirteenth Doctor Is Possibly The Worst Incarnation Ever

As exciting as it was to get a female Doctor, Jodie Whittaker has been completely let down. This is pretty much The Doctor's worst incarnation to date.

The Thirteenth Doctor has no real identity, no psychological depth and just runs around in a hyperactive and extremely annoying manner. This childish demeanour is already irritating, but what makes it more jarring is that this version of the Doctor just isn't a very nice person.

She frequently doesn't seem to care when innocent people die, she's allowed or caused the deaths of other individuals many times (such as in Arachnids in the UK, Kerblam! and Orphan 55). She was too cowardly to use the Death Particle in The Timeless Children, and she's often seemed apathetic towards Graham when he's clearly battling his way through trauma after losing his wife. She's also hypocritically attacked other characters for using weapons even though she does this all the time.

It was so important to give the first female Doctor the great material she deserved. Sadly, Chibnall and co. have failed to do this. Whittaker's performance is solid enough and she could've been great with better writing. It's a sad waste of an excellent actress.
