Only the Brits could make a truly laughing matter out of growing old, gracefully or otherwise, and this show provided same in abundance. Assisted-living residents Tom Ballard and Diana Trent were a perfectly heavenly team as embodied by the impeccable Graham Crowden and Stephanie Cole (who could ever forget Diana raising her hand at a meeting on medical matters and barking to a shocked young nurse, "What do you know about prostates??"), and Janine Duvitski always proved masterful as the hopelessly-cheerful Jane.
