5. The Kraals

These aliens were only featured once in Tom Baker's second season in 'The Android Invasion', but they certainly made an impression.

Created at the height of the Philip Hinchcliffe-produced gothic era, the Kraals' distorted facial features were menacing to look at (and the ending of part one of this serial still makes this author shiver). The Kraals plotted to wipe out humanity with a virus, using like-for-like android duplicates, including the Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith, and even replicated a small English village as a training ground.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to see a similar situation with Whittaker and her companions, perhaps landing in what they believe to be Sheffield and engaging with their families and friends, only to find out they are android imposters? A great twist there could see the return of Grace, at which point Team Tardis would realise something was afoot.
