3. Baron Reiter
This one caused a bit of a stir when it was announced that Jimmy Akingbola would be playing the character, because at first it seemed as though they had cast a black actor to play a Nazi character.
Reiter is the alter-ego of Baron Blitzkrieg in the comics, a German army officer who is the subject of experiments that leave him with, among other things, super strength and the ability to fly. Basically, hes a Nazi supervillain.
Thankfully, though, although theyre using the name Baron Reiter, he won't have any connections to Blitzkrieg or Nazis. They will, however, be using his ties to the criminal organisation Shadowspire, of which he is the head, who manage to infiltrate and influence government to their own nefarious ends.
Reiter will be the villain of the flashbacks, which as we know from the season 3 finale will be taking place in Coast City. Showrunner Marc Guggenheim has said that what happens there and how Oliver comes across Reiter must be kept secret, because itd spoil a pretty big twist in the season 4 opener. Guesses welcome as to what thatll be, although a sneaky Green Lantern appearance is probably too much to ask for (please?).
