Arrow Season 5 Premiere: 13 Questions We're Asking After 'Legacy'

3. For How Much Longer Will Oliver Kill?

The Oliver Queen we find here is a lot closer to the one of Seasons 1 and 2, in that he's willing to kill and has a much more hardened edge to him. Sure, it repeats a lot of the same character beats we've seen over and over on the show (can he/can't he kill, will he/won't he go it alone), but Stephen Amell still sells it really well.

Although it's a shame we don't really get to see the weight of the decisions that led him to killing again, an Oliver who kills isn't necessarily a bad move for the show to make at this stage.

His flat-out no kill policy led to problems, as did his 'kill first, ask questions later' motif. So somewhere in the middle, where he'll kill when he has to, might not be the worst middle ground for an Oliver dealing with his legacy. Is it something he's going to stick to? How many more people will he kill, and are we destined for yet another reversal of the rule?
