He may already have experience travelling the universe, hell; hes the president of the galaxy! But despite his background knowledge and respectable position of power, would the Doctor really want him hanging around? Hes not exactly the nicest guy, but most shrug that off; hes far too charismatic that none really care. But, the Doctor is brilliant and intelligent hed see right through the façade to Zaphods vanity, hedonism and self-indulgence. There may be people to save and aliens to fight but Zaphod would be running himself through the TARDIS computer or pressing any button that looked appealing. And thats only if he wasnt trying to steal the TARDIS! Hes already stolen the Heart Of Gold, the best ship in the galaxy, whos to say he wouldnt want the greatest ship in the universe? As soon as the Doctor steps out of those big blue doors, Zaphod would be straight the control desk: disappearing there and reappearing anywhere.
