14. Strax Returns! (Sort Of)

Ahead of the rewatch event, we learned that Moffat had written an all-new short scene - featuring a "much-loved Doctor Who character" - which would serve as an introduction to the anniversary episode.

Naturally, as soon as this news was revealed, fans started speculating about what the scene might look like, and which character would be making an appearance. In the end, we learned that it was Strax, the combat-loving Sontaran who assisted the Eleventh Doctor on several occasions, and also helped the Twelfth Doctor ease into his regeneration.

Due to the fact that most people are currently isolated in their homes, the production values on this scene weren't exactly of a AAA quality, but nonetheless, it was a fun little video that poked fun at current showrunner Chris Chibnall's recent decisions with the show ("This [The Day Of The Doctor] was the story that changed everything... unless it didn't. It's very unclear"), while also sneaking in a joke about the hoarding of toilet paper, something that a lot of idiots have been doing as of late.

Plus, Dan Starkey even returned as Strax! And that's always good news.
