Karen Gillan is a good actress. She reveals just how good in this story, where she plays both the normal, happy-go-lucky Amy Pond and the older, bitter, more unhappy version thats been stuck by herself for twenty years. I particularly liked the fact that the villains of the piece werent evil. I also really enjoyed seeing older Amy, and what a bad-ass survivalist shed become. Lastly, I have to admit, I was suckered in enough to wonder if they might actually find a way to have both Amys on board the TARDIS. I knew in the back of my mind that it probably wouldnt happen, but the mere fact that I thought it might have happened was something very impressive.
