The cyber-Doctor calls himself Mr. Clever. He exhibits a kind of empty intelligence €“ one without heart or soul. He€™s a sociopath €“ cunning, manipulative, smug and void of empathy. The cyberiad worships technology but fails to understand intelligence does not absolve you of responsibility. There is no €œGet out of compassion free€ card. Her selfishness though is understandable when you consider she recently lost her mother. Clara only reminds her of what she has lost. Angie feels desperate and out of control. Her obvious intelligence isn€™t enough to counteract those feelings. The cyberiad€™s solution to dealing with uncomfortable emotions was to kill them completely. But in doing so they lost their sense of self.
