Doctor Who Review: Robot Of Sherwood - 9 Steps From Man To Myth

Peter Capaldi€™s Doctor wears chains forged of snark. The weight of his moral obligations may be a burden but there€™s no reason not to be as sarcastic as possible about it. He relishes baiting Robin Hood and adores showing off in front of Clara. It€™s a testament to Capaldi€™s acting chops that he€™s invented a persona for the Doctor without ever losing sight of the core of the man underneath. It is this story that cements his place in the pantheon. He is the Doctor, no question about it. Clara€™s interactions with this new personality sizzle with chemistry. Clara€™s characterization in series 7b was disjointed as she flew from one extreme of emotion to another without regard to continuity. She was a different person in every story. Now we know who Clara is and she€™s magnificent.
