Who Should Win

David Harbour (But really, Michael McKean)

If they'd nominated the real deserving actor in Better Call Saul's third season then this would be a different story, because McKean was head and shoulders above the competition, but without his presence it's a much closer bunch. They're all good, but Harbour's performance anchored Stranger Things and brought it a lot of humanity and emotional resonance.

Ron Cephas Jones has a great chance here, playing a very emotional role on (the very emotional) This Is Us. But Lithgow has been a winner already this year and has far more hype behind him, and he's a big Emmys favourite, so they'll likely relish the opportunity to recognise him for the first time since 2010 (Dexter).
