Moon Knight Lands Game Of Thrones Cinematographer, Begins Filming In 2021
The hype begins.
Disney+ is currently working hard on loading its streaming catalogue with Marvel properties. One of the most anticipated show is Moon Knight, which will revolve around the alter ego of Marc Spector, a mercenary with Dissociative Identity Disorder.
The popular anti-hero from the comics is going to be played by Oscar Isaac, last seen in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as General Poe Dameron, and fans have so far reacted positively to the casting.
According to DiscussingFilm, the show will begin production in early 2021 in Budapest (the same location where Black Widow has been shot), and has landed Gregory Middleton, a cinematographer whose past works include Game of Thrones, Watchmen and Fringe.
The series will be directed by Mohamed Diab (Cairo 678) and written by Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy). Moon Knight will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and fans are already curious about how dark the series may be, and how will fit into the wider world of well established heroes, given the character's comics generally skew towards darker territory.
The first MCU Disney+ show, WandaVision, is slated to release in December.
