Star Trek: Every Starfleet Uniform Ranked From WORST To BEST

23. Flag Officers' Uniforms - 2350s/2360s/Early 2370s

In the twenty years between the early 2350s and the early 2370s, Starfleet's Admirals went through many uniform changes and redesigns. Including the version seen only in Barash's fantasy in Future Imperfect, no fewer than six different Admiralty variants were seen on screen.

The alien posing as Admiral Janeway may be forgiven for getting some of the details wrong (like the combadge) but it did still offer a fair reproduction of the admiral's uniform in service in 2353. Admiral Mark Jameson would showcase the next design in Too Short A Season, while Admiral Nakamura wore a new design in The Measure Of A Man.

Admiral Haftel introduced a design that would be the norm for the next couple of years in The Offspring, not counting 'Admiral Picard's' jaunty ensemble in Future Imperfect. Finally, for The Next Generation at least, Vice (later Fleet) Admiral Necheyev introduced the design that would return in both Deep Space Nine and Voyager, with Admiral Toddman showcasing the only division-specific variant, in Operations gold, in The Die Is Cast.
