Star Trek: Every Starfleet Uniform Ranked From WORST To BEST

24. Starfleet Standard Uniform - Late 2390s - Early 2400s

By the late-2390s, Starfleet had reverted to a double-breasted uniform design. The division colours remained on the shoulders, though the uniform jacket now lacked a collar. Instead, it was fastened over a black undershirt, onto which the wearer pinned their rank insignia.

This top was accompanied by trousers with a division colour strip running down the outside of the leg. Command wore red, Operations and Security wore gold, and Medical and Sciences wore blue as usual. Aboard the USS Titan-A, at least one cook wore a similar uniform, though his was grey across the shoulders.

Starfleet kept the same style of combadge from the early-2390s until at least 2401, when it was replaced by a golden variant. Several flag officers, including Admirals Whitely and Picard, were seen wearing a variant of this uniform, with added gold piping under the division colours across the shoulders.
