10 Banned Segments WWE Had To Censor

6. Lita’s Unfortunate “Live Sex” Slip

Live on the 9 January 2006 Raw, happy couple Edge and Lita decided to host a "Live Sex Celebration" to party for his Money In The Bank cash in previously. That had happened the night before on New Year's Revolution, and Mr. 'Rated-R Superstar' was in the mood for more hijinks.

Mid-cavorting, Lita suffered the indignity of a nip slip on-air. There was nothing WWE's production team could do about that on the actual live broadcast, but they could sure muscle in and make sure things didn't get nipply on demand.

So, although they aired much of the segment, the company removed an unfortunate bit of nudity from Lita as she rolled around with her man on the bed in-ring. This is the kind of thing you'll almost certainly never see on WWE television again - one can't see Chelsea Green hosting a "Liv Sex Celebration" with Matt Cardona, put it that way.

This ratings ploy was big news at the time, even more so when word of Lita's wardrobe malfunction got round the offices/schools. 'Hey, did you see what happened on Raw last night?'. 'No, what?'. 'Lita's breasts were exposed'. Suddenly, a mad clamour to see ensued.

WWE did their best to cover for the female star, but she'd later admit to feeling uncomfortable about the entire deal. According to Lita, upper management put pressure on her to go through with the segment, so she did her best to grin and bear it.

Obviously, that's awful, embarrassing "nip slip" or otherwise.
