10 Best WWE Championship Reigns Of The 2010s

7. Kofi Kingston (April-October 2019)

The story of Kofi Kingston's decade-long journey to the WWE Championship, which culminated with a victory over Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35, is legendary. Unfortunately, so is the way he lost the title.

In between those two moments, Kingston had a fairly respectable title reign. He was rarely booked in the main event, but was made to look strong in matches against Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, and Samoa Joe.

His biggest rivalry was with his old nemesis Randy Orton, who he faced on pay-per-view twice. Fans were excited to see whether WWE would reference the infamous "Stupid! Stupid!" incident - where Orton essentially put the breaks on Kingston's push - and they sort of did.

Unfortunately, Kingston's 180 days on top came to a sudden halt when he ran into Brock Lesnar on an episode of SmackDown. The Beast murdered Kofi in seven seconds. The New Day member was then shunted back down the card at breakneck speed.

Kingston had a great start to his title reign and made the most of his time with the belt, but that ending is a massive drag.
