6. The Plane Ride From Hell

You'd be forgiven for not remembering a single match from WWE's UK exclusive Insurrextion pay-per-view in 2002. However, everyone has heard of what it led to. 

The journey back to the US was doomed from the moment they decided to put an open bar on a plane full of wrestlers. Scott Hall, a man with a history of substance abuse, got hideously drunk and harassed both his fellow wrestlers and flight attendants Taralyn Cappellano and Heidi Doyle. Curt Hennig and Brock Lesnar got into an argument that turned into a fight. The two huge men started wrestling for real, coming terrifyingly close to bringing the plane down. 

Goldust started singing to his ex-wife Terri Runnels over the PA system - and then there's Ric Flair. The undisputed king of being a tanked-up douchebag, Flair allegedly exposed himself to Cappellano and Doyle, a controversy that was re-awakened by a 2021 episode of Dark Side of the Ring.

The so-called 'Plane Ride from Hell' had dire consequences. Both Hall and Hennig were fired, while Cappellano and Doyle filed a lawsuit against WWE that was eventually settled out of court.
