7. Lance Storm vs. Booker T (Nitro - August, 2000)
It wasn't uncommon for WCW to book big title matches on a weekly basis on free television, and that was certainly the case when Lance Storm was handed a crack at the World Title against Booker T, just one month after Booker had bagged the belt. By 2000, the common perception is that WCW were dead and fans didn't really care about what was happening in the promotion. Watching this bout proves that theory wrong, there was still a lot of heavy interest in what the company were doing, even though there were clear problems which badly needed to be addressed - the creative team really didn't help matters with their chaotic booking, but fans were enthused at live events. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2tgc1_booker-t-vs-lance-storm-wcw-title_sport This short-but-sweet TV match from an episode of Nitro epitomised what Booker T was all about as World Champion, and really highlighted what Lance Storm could do if the writing staff would only give him a chance. In fairness, as the end was nigh for WCW, Storm was booked to his strengths, namely actual wrestling.
