10 Most Cursed WWE Images Of 2020

10. A Comeback We Didn't Need

At time of writing, the 54 year old Bill Goldberg is readying himself for another title shot against Drew McIntyre. Given the protection Drew has enjoyed, it’s probably safe to assume he won’t be forced to drop the strap to the middle aged former WCW star, but when you think about the dealings of last February’s dreadful Super Showdown PPV, it gives you pause.

After a solid build, Bray Wyatt was enjoying a new lease of life in his creepy Fiend guise. He was booked as an unstoppable, no selling monster, able to absorb curb stomps and weapon shots like they were nothing at all. Then, he ran into Goldberg. A few spears and a truly dreadful Jackhammer later and Bill was the champ no one wanted.

It gets worse when you read backstage chatter that Goldberg insisted going over in Saudi Arabia, and quickly lost interest in the belt, dropping it to Braun Stroman in a rubbish match at ‘Mania 36 (admittedly with his initial opponent, Roman Reigns, and a crowd, this would have been a lot better).

This image is everything wrong with WWE’s short term booking policies. No one enjoyed it, and it set The Fiend back significantly.
