10 Reasons Why WWE Creative Is Nuts
4. CM Punk Left Because Of Creative
CM Punk did not leave WWE because of money. He did not leave because he hates the people in the locker room. He left because of the creative team. That's the main reason. While it's not coming directly from him because he's keeping a low profile, he was vocal about his displeasure with the creative team in the past and it was likely why he left again.
One of Punk's main gripes was that WWE rewarded part-time performers with major roles at WrestleMania. What's weird about that is that at WrestleMania last year they matched him up with part timer (Undertaker), then they did it again at SummerSlam (Lesnar) and this year at WrestleMania the plan was to match him up with another part timer, Triple H. Maybe he just got sick of it. Or maybe he simply wanted to be in the last match at WrestleMania for the first time in his career. When he knew he wouldn't get it, he just walked away.
Punk's decision to walk away from a job that made him a millionaire should open the eyes of the creative team. Chances are dozens of others in that locker room are just as frustrated as Punk was, but they're not in a position to walk away from the job the way he was.
Was he right to walk away? Everybody is going to differ when answering that one. All we can really do is wonder if he would have stayed if management did a better job of keeping him - a main eventer - happy.
