An imposing behemoth of a man, Big Van Vader was a huge star throughout the 1990's in both WCW and the then-WWF. It's fair to say that wrestlers take what they do very seriously, and why shouldn't they? Vader is a perfect example of a man who doesn't take kindly to anybody questioning his profession, something which became clear during a WWF tour of Kuwait in 1997. Appearing with The Undertaker on national TV in Kuwait, Vader doesn't like the line of questioning, specifically the host's first question about just how real pro wrestling is. Whilst then-Heavyweight Champion 'Taker responds in a wholly diplomatic manner, one in which he still staunchly defends wrestling, Vader doesn't take the same approach. Visibly seething whilst the anchor translates The Undertaker's answer, Vader snaps and grabs the host, something which would cost him big time. Fined and subsequently arrested, the big man's wrestling career would never quite be the same again. Recently talking about the incident on the Steve Austin podcast, Vader said that he was misled by the show's producer, who told him the host would be fine with what he was going to do. Nonetheless, Kuwait operates under different rules to the United States, and there was a lot of uproar when Vader threatened the show's host.
