10 Times Companies Have Dropped The Ball With Sting

7. Part Man, Part Machine, All Garbage

Pro wrestling is a strange business, this much is common knowledge, but the above picture says more than one million words ever could. Thrown into a cage by the vile Four Horsemen in May, 1990, Sting looked easy pickings for the heel faction, who would surely have some nefarious plans for their rival. Then, out of nowhere, RoboCop would surface, saving his buddy, Sting, and admittedly getting a pretty decent response from the live crowd. It was a strange, unique encounter, and one which did little to advance storylines. So, if Sting has a part man, part machine mechanoid law-server in his corner, what chance do the Horsemen have? That must have been one question fans were asking. Credit must be given to WCW for trying different things, but this was perhaps a little too different, and was quite the auspicious build to that eventual first NWA World Title win for Sting at The Great American Bash just a few months later.
